In a true toast to Texas the exhibition brings together four home grown
photographers in a single show. Peter Brown, Keith Carter, Earlie
Hudanall, and George Krause have all become legends of Texas art
history, have all exhibited with PDNB gallery in the past, and have all
been acquired by major museums.
The exhibition is the perfect compliment to PDNB's 16th anniversary.
All photographers have notable work and history: Krause is one of the
youngest photographers to be given a show by MoMA curator, Jon
Szarkowski; Carter is highly collected and widely published; Hudnall and
Brown are exceptional storytellers and record makers- Hudnall through
faces and Brown through places. Hudnall and Brown's work comprise the
bulk of the exhibition and are an interesting reflection on American
culture from 1960's to the present.
