Through online and social media outlets photographers received chalenges
and were allowed to respond with images of contemporary street
photography. For the year-long run of the competition over 16,000
images were contributed from photographers around the world- from China,
Japan and South Korea, to Brazil and Argentina, from the USA, Russia
and Australia, to Morocco and across Europe.
From the flood of entries two individuals shone through- Jo Paul Wallace
and Jack Simon. Their work is well fit to the history of the street
photography tradition with dynamism, humor, and energy. The power of
the genre endures in the lenses of these talented photographers.
