Worldwide Celebration of Photography's Most Basic Form
April 24, 2011
Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day champions the
roots of the now omnipresent photographic media. Interest is more
widespread than perhaps thought on the side of artists, journalists, and
enthusiasts; one day a year they put away the digital camera, the phone
camera, the multi-shot in any form. Nothing more than a hole for light
in a blackened chamber with a receiving negative or paper the pinhole
camera can be made with house-hold items from matchboxes, shoeboxes, and
cans- anything that is light-tight.
Experiment and explore and enjoy the long exposures, widened views, and atmospheric effects of the adored pinhole camera.
