The last Kodachrome lab closes.
The one remaining lab in Parsons, Kansas closed
last Thursday and marked the end of the famed Kodachrome film. The
vivid color and warm light this film captured was beloved by amateurs
and professionals alike. The film was itself an icon, becoming the
title of a Paul Simon hit song. Hoarded for years in freezers as labs
closed around the world many of the final rolls flooded Dwayne's Photo
in the final weeks of 2010. The last roll developed belonged to store
owner, Dwayne Steinle, and the last frame processed was of his employees
