NYT Critics' Pick

The story of these rediscovered works is as interesting as the images themselves.

Through May 8, 2011

Considered for years to be lost to history three boxes with over 4,000 35mm negatives were delivered to the ICP in 2007. The complete story of their journey from Paris to the ICP remains a bit of a mystery adding to the allure of the treasure the boxes contained- most notably images from the Spanish Civil War.

NYT Critics' Pick.

For more on the back-story, biographies of the legendary war photographers, and conservation of the negatives visit The International Center of Photography.
