Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery opened 1995 out of a small house in Uptown Dallas with a show of Joel-Peter Witkin and a group show of Latin American artists. The gallery later moved to the Design District and its current location on Dragon Street. PDNB Gallery grew with the evolving Dallas Art Scene; the city is now home to a vibrant and multi-faceted arts-community, including a host of galleries, cultural institutions, and the internationally recognized Dallas Art Fair.
PDNB Gallery celebrates its 20th anniversary with a show of pinnacle works drawn in the most-part from private collections, including a work from its first show with Witkin, Wife of Cain, and work by the Gallery's most popular artist and Texas-native Keith Carter. Carter had a memorable sellout show in 1997. Other notable artists who's work will be on view include Chema Madoz, Esteban Pastorino Diaz, Bill Owens, Marta Maria Perez Bravo, George Krause, Jeffrey Silverthorne, Lee Friedlander, Misty Keasler, Deliah Montoya, and John Albok.

Bill Owens, Richie 1971, “I don’t fee that Richie playing with guns will have a negative effect on his personality. (He already wants to be a policeman). His childhood gun-playing won’t make him into a cop-shooter. By playing with guns he learns to socialize with other children. I find the neighbors who are offended by Richie’s gun, either the father hunts or their kids are the first to take Richie’s gun and go off and play with it." | Courtesy of PDNB Gallery
