Scheinbaum & Russek Gallery has handled the work of these three Latin Artists for many years; this exhibition includes some of their most noteworthy images as well as rarely-exhibited works by the artists.  Bravo is often considered the Father of Mexican photography.  A contemporary of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, and friend of Edward Weston and Tina Modotti, Bravo infused a surrealist eye into his work.  Works are revealing and symbolic, often mysterious implications are woven into what may otherwise appear to be direct scenes.  Carrillo is known for his sensitive eye; he captured the beauty in his culture, including street scenes, children at play, village life, dogs, markets, families, and so on.  Gonzalez Palma is a contemporary artist who gives contemporary counterpoint to the exhibition; his images focus on the history and culture of his Guatemalan roots.  He is celebrated for his use of portraiture to reference indigenous culture, religion and the impositions and brutalities that affect them.  For Gonzalez Palma love and pain are but a double-edged sword.

The gallery will host a book-signing with Stuart Ashman, President and CEO of the Museum of Latin American Art, who has recently released the publication Mi Querido Mexico, a retrospective text on the work of Manuel Carrillo.
