Galerie Esther Woerdehoff ADDRESS 36 rue Falguière, Paris, France 75015 TEL +33 (0)9-51-51-24-50 EMAIL WEB www.ewgalerie.com HOURS Tuesday-Saturday, 2-6 DESCRIPTION Gallery Esther Woerdehoff was created in 1996 and specializes in two fields: classical and modern photography from the 1930s to the 1980s, with vintage prints of French and international artists such as René Burri, Frank Horvat, and Edouard Boubat; and contemporary and conceptual photographers like Carla van de Puttelaar, Laurence Demaison, Loan Nguyen, Christian Tagliavini, and Chema Madoz. The gallery is located in Paris (artistic Montparnasse area), in a historic house on a courtyard where sculptors such as Camille Claudel and Brancusi have worked. During World War II, it hosted a secret printing house for the French Resistance. The gallery shows six exhibitions of monographic and thematic photography each year, and regularly takes part in international art fairs.
