Review: Martin Parr's "Parr-O-Rama" at Janet Borden

This exhibition's title, "Parr-O-Rama," leads us to expect a celebration of the fun-house humor that is all some people know of the British photographer's work.

But while the show does feature large-scale closeups of a pink poodle, an English breakfast, and a plate of pig-shaped petits fours, it also gives a much wider view of his busy career. Although Parr has photographed all over the world, England remains the subject of his most affectionate and wickedly satirical work. Through Jan. 31.

From The New Yorker.
