Copyright: © Robert Bourdeau / Courtesy of Stephen Bulger GalleryRobert Bourdeau is widely recognized and has exhibited internationally at Le Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Smithsonian Institution in the District of Columbia, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, The Museum of fine Arts in Boston, The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the Vancouver Art Gallery among other notable institutions.
Stephen Bulger Gallery now presents the work of Bourdeau in survey; The Station Point will draw from Bourdeau's oeuvre from the past 40 years. Bourdeau takes interest in expansive landscape, forgotten industrial elements fading apart or being swallowed up by nature, and architectural gems nestled into the landscape. Haunting and enticing frames are geometrically structured yet rhythmic. The work is nostalgic and we long to wander into the spaces captured.
Monograph co-published by Stephen Bulger Gallery and Mageneta Foundation to release the evening of the exhibition.
