Courtesy of Julie Saul GalleryGonzalo Puch's large scale color prints pull on traditional academic subjects. With allusions to math, science, music, biology, and environmental studies the artist tries to pull order from chaos. At first glance, the viewer may feel chaos has taken over, but as you spend more time with the works you begin to see a strange logic under the surface. Still not always holding evident meaning we attempt to decode the visual structure because there is indeed something very believable about them. The works are curious, colorful, engaging, and humerus. We are left with a sense of new or at least an open perception as well as questions on the construction of or the rules for reality itself.
