While Stein has produced texts on the subject in the past it was in color. This new book will feature the famed New York hang-out in black and white. The gritty depiction promises an honest, true to life, and perhaps most importantly timeless view of Coney Island.
Some things change- the old Brooklyn Middle Class has made room for newcomers at The Rockways and Brighton Beach, but the Brooklyn flavor, the essence of Coney Island remains- the spectacle. For the last 40 years this has been the draw for Stein. From the epic Golden Era to deterioration of an icon and today's renaissance Stein has captured it all. An actor himself, he hangs on the curtains to watch and to capture the action of center stage.
