Field Recordings is a layered look at the natural landscape of New Jersey's forests and wetlands. For the series Wildlife Analysis Graf combined strait shooting of black and white film with color film exposed to ambient light (no lens required). In the darkroom the two layers of film are combined. The direct and the ambient result in natural elements pushing and pulling through splashes of rich bold color. Painterly and hypnotizing are the resulting works.
