The AIPAD Photography Show New York, presented by the Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD) closed on Sunday, April 13, smashing all attendance records and featuring rave reviews and excellent sales figures. One of the world's most important international photography events, the show brought together 75 of the world's leading fine art photography galleries at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. A wide range of museum-quality work by contemporary, modern and 19th century masters was on view from April 10 through 13, 2008. Attendance for the four-day show was up 18 percent over last year.
The 28th edition of The AIPAD Photography Show New York opened with a Gala Benefit Preview on Wednesday, April 9, to benefit the John Szarkowski Fund, an endowment for photography acquisitions at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
